Since
the 50¨s of last century, CNTIC has imported more than 280
projects for the nation in the iron & steel sector,
with the total contract value reaching 7.8 billion US Dollars.
Through the import of such projects, CNTIC made its contributions
for upgrading the overall technical level of the Chinese
iron & steel industry, filling the blanks in its product
lines, and for China¨s becoming a leading steel producer
around the world. Large sized complete plants and equipment
have been imported by CNTIC for 46 iron & steel works
and 66 non-ferrous metal enterprises. The Company has undertaken
111 projects for the nation¨s non-ferrous industry, with
the total contract value reaching 0.86 billion US Dollars,
involving the import of equipment for the copper, aluminum,
lead & zinc, vanadium & titanium, nickel, stannum
industries, as well as for tungsten mines, gold mines and
salt mines. In the building materials sector, CNTIC has
imported over 20 cement production lines and 10 sets of
equipment for cement production machinery manufacturing,
22 sets of glass production lines. These projects including
Wu Han Iron & Steel Works, Bao Shan Iron & Steel
Woks, Shan Xi Aluminum Factory, Qin Huang Dao Yao Hua Glass
Factory and Ji Dong Cement Plant, etc, are playing an important
role in the economic development of the country.
Adhering to its business features of technology trade, and
its business policy for the development of export oriented,
advanced and high-tech intensive equipment and products,
CNTIC has executed export projects including Float Glass
Factory in India with a melting capacity of 200 tons per
day, MEB Flat Glass Factory in Bangladesh with a melting
capacity of 60 tons per day, Fars Nov Cement Works and Larestan
Cement Works in Iran, Cement Powder Station in Vietnam with
a capacity of 250,000 tons per year, Ghana Cement Works,
Plaster Factory in Egypt, etc. With the present export market
mainly in Asia and Africa, the scope of export covers complete
plants and equipment delivery as well as project contracting
in the fields of building materials, agriculture, forestry,
stock raising, textile, metallurgy, fertilizer, machinery,
food and oil, pharmaceuticals and health care products,
environment protection, non-ferrous metals, and non-metal
mineral mines, etc.
